What students & parents have to say about our tutors
Sharon is a fantastic tutor who helped me with my high school Calculus class. I could both quantitatively and qualitatively track my improvement with my skills, and I have her to thank for that. If you need a math tutor, you won't be disappointed with her help!
Great tutor! Made circuits (the most anti-intuitive topic ever) make sense.
Kristen is the reason I passed Chemistry, thank you so much. You are a great teacher and I am glad to have found someone so helpful.
Ben is a very knowledgeable in the material I was being tutoring in . Easy to work with & had a flexible schedule. I saw large improvements in the exams scores compared to before I began meeting with him and after I began meeting with him!
Ryan LaCount is an excellent calculus tutor. It is clear that he not only understands how to explain the math, but also how to address student's concerns about specific math challenges. He often provided more than one explanation for a concept without even being asked, which is more than most high school math teachers provide! If you are interested in knowing the "why" behind your math, Ryan will be a great resource.
Sharon is an amazing tutor! She comes prepared with worked out examples that you send into her pre-tutor session. They are very well written out and she has really good handwriting (for all of those who can't stand professors who don't know how to write legibly). Rather than just tell you how to do the problems, she explains each step thoroughly and why it is important in order to get the correct answer. Lastly, she is very affordable compared to other tutors.
Working with Luis was a truly rewarding experience. He is an incredible person and a fantastic tutor; incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and always prepared to answer any questions I had. He is excellent in getting the student to consider the possible answer which can boost confidence. It’s clear that he's passionate about the material and knows how to teach it well—he is supportive, attentive to pace, and just a really nice guy. He gave me suggestions for homework and a lot of great resources to better my understanding in the subject. I will surely be using his services in the near future.
He was an awesome tutor and helped me pass one of my most difficult courses!
She did a really good job of using our time efficiently, but never rushed me. She helped make sure I understood the concepts. She was really good at making herself available to me even outside of our sessions. She was very patient with me and took the time to explain the concepts I was struggling with so that I could understand them better.
Paul is straight to the point with each problem & task, regardless of difficulty or your experience, he will make sure you get it. In the several decades worth of struggles i've had with math (i'm an older student), i've never had someone as helpful as him. He doesn't waste time with ambiguous analogies or force you to guess for 5-10 minutes at a time what is going on with misleading questions, he is very blunt and straight to the point with what each problem is "doing" in the real world or with physical analogies. This is the first person i've interacted with in my life who has adequately and unambiguously explained to me what algebra actually "does" beyond letters and numbers, as is unfortunately taken for granted by most college and high school instructors.
