What students & parents have to say about our tutors
Art patiently and thoroughly explains material that are confusing or difficult to work out, not just in one way but many. He goes beyond expectations by making sure that success is met, not just in the session with him, but beyond in the classroom and on exams.
Ashkan was very well organized with time and managed to help me understand the subject clearly. If it weren’t for him, I’d fail the class.
Zachary is great at explaining difficult topics in a way that any one could understand. He also is able to relate chemistry concepts to everyday life in a meaningful way.
Ben is a very knowledgeable in the material I was being tutoring in . Easy to work with & had a flexible schedule. I saw large improvements in the exams scores compared to before I began meeting with him and after I began meeting with him!
Ryan was really knowledgeable about circuits and electronics and he took the time for me to understand concepts I was really struggling with. I would recommend Ryan as a tutor to anyone!
I had an excellent experience with Mogi this semester. I really struggled with the material at the start of the semester and had a hard time grasping concepts in class. She is an excellent teacher and makes sure you are fully able to understand the material in depth, not just memorize how to do a problem. If something did not make sense to me, she was able to explain the material in multiple ways, which I found very helpful. As a result of meeting with Mogi throughout the semester I was able to achieve a high A in my class overall.
Mogi once again exceeded my expectations. She was very flexible with scheduling especially around midterms for meeting for extra sessions. She made the material very relatable and easier to understand. Her use of a notebook made homework easier with another set of notes to reference and examples of similar questions to what would be on a test made exams much less stressful.
Working with Luis was a truly rewarding experience. He is an incredible person and a fantastic tutor; incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and always prepared to answer any questions I had. He is excellent in getting the student to consider the possible answer which can boost confidence. It’s clear that he's passionate about the material and knows how to teach it well—he is supportive, attentive to pace, and just a really nice guy. He gave me suggestions for homework and a lot of great resources to better my understanding in the subject. I will surely be using his services in the near future.
Brendon does a good job of walking you through math. I would recommend him to someone who has a higher level of math. I am terrible at math, so the majority of the things I was trying to learn seemed impossible. I think if I was better at math, I would have worked better with Brendon, because he shows you ways to do the math.
You will simply not find a tutor for classes in the upper level of electrical engineering other than Ryan. They simply do not exist. He is phenomenally well informed on course topics and styles of assignments and testing.
