What students & parents have to say about our tutors
Ryan exceeded all my expectations! I have had him for a few years now and I always feel like I learn more with Ryan than I do in class! He is very good at explaining what you are learning at the pace you need. I would recommend him to anyone needing assistance in engineering classes especially.
Great tutor. Improved my grade significantly after two sessions
Nate was an exceptional tutor. He was able to explain very abstract and difficult concepts in Quantum Mechanics in a way that I was really able to absorb. He helped me with homework, study for exams, and really adapted to the way in which I learn. I felt comfortable asking him every question I had, even when I couldn't articulate myself very well. I would definitely recommend Nate.
Great tutor! Very patient. Comes prepared to every session and goes above and beyond to make sure all questions are answered correctly.
Sharon is an amazing tutor! She comes prepared with worked out examples that you send into her pre-tutor session. They are very well written out and she has really good handwriting (for all of those who can't stand professors who don't know how to write legibly). Rather than just tell you how to do the problems, she explains each step thoroughly and why it is important in order to get the correct answer. Lastly, she is very affordable compared to other tutors.
Paul is straight to the point with each problem & task, regardless of difficulty or your experience, he will make sure you get it. In the several decades worth of struggles i've had with math (i'm an older student), i've never had someone as helpful as him. He doesn't waste time with ambiguous analogies or force you to guess for 5-10 minutes at a time what is going on with misleading questions, he is very blunt and straight to the point with what each problem is "doing" in the real world or with physical analogies. This is the first person i've interacted with in my life who has adequately and unambiguously explained to me what algebra actually "does" beyond letters and numbers, as is unfortunately taken for granted by most college and high school instructors.
Jacob really understands the subject of Physics. It was great to meet with him and ask questions (even if they seemed silly) and hear/see his explanations. He was able to put them into everyday terms/situations that were easy to understand.
Andrew is the best tutor I've had. He is kind, smart, professional, and helpful. He was able to teach me in a way that fit with my personal learning style. He works hard to make sure you understand the materials you are learning. He also does a really good job of providing encouragement, when you're feeling bad/nervous about a subject. I would highly recommend him to any of my friends!
Kristen is the reason I passed Chemistry, thank you so much. You are a great teacher and I am glad to have found someone so helpful.
Very good tutor, she obviously cares about what she is doing (because she is majoring in math education) and I can tell she will be a good teacher soon.
