What students & parents have to say about our tutors
Ryan exceeded all my expectations! I have had him for a few years now and I always feel like I learn more with Ryan than I do in class! He is very good at explaining what you are learning at the pace you need. I would recommend him to anyone needing assistance in engineering classes especially.
Brendon does a good job of walking you through math. I would recommend him to someone who has a higher level of math. I am terrible at math, so the majority of the things I was trying to learn seemed impossible. I think if I was better at math, I would have worked better with Brendon, because he shows you ways to do the math.
10 out of 10 tutor. I would recommend her to anyone struggling with math. Great teacher and great person.
Ryan LaCount is an excellent calculus tutor. It is clear that he not only understands how to explain the math, but also how to address student's concerns about specific math challenges. He often provided more than one explanation for a concept without even being asked, which is more than most high school math teachers provide! If you are interested in knowing the "why" behind your math, Ryan will be a great resource.
Ryan was really knowledgeable about circuits and electronics and he took the time for me to understand concepts I was really struggling with. I would recommend Ryan as a tutor to anyone!
Mogi went above and beyond my expectations. She was always prepared and had a lesson ready each time. Her use of a tutor session specific notebook was huge and really made me prepared for my quizzes and exams. She put up with my at times stupid questions and never made me feel stupid for asking questions. I would absolutely recommend Mogi to anyone.
Really helpful, especially with breaking down problems into sections to make them easier to solve
Paul is straight to the point with each problem & task, regardless of difficulty or your experience, he will make sure you get it. In the several decades worth of struggles i've had with math (i'm an older student), i've never had someone as helpful as him. He doesn't waste time with ambiguous analogies or force you to guess for 5-10 minutes at a time what is going on with misleading questions, he is very blunt and straight to the point with what each problem is "doing" in the real world or with physical analogies. This is the first person i've interacted with in my life who has adequately and unambiguously explained to me what algebra actually "does" beyond letters and numbers, as is unfortunately taken for granted by most college and high school instructors.
Ryan is truly the best tutor. He is so patient and can explain concepts in many different ways. I would recommend him to anyone.
You will simply not find a tutor for classes in the upper level of electrical engineering other than Ryan. They simply do not exist. He is phenomenally well informed on course topics and styles of assignments and testing.
