What students & parents have to say about our tutors
Easily my favorite tutor, and deserves a raise. Ryan helped me consistently and thoughtfully for a whole school year, and is very patient to go over concepts more than once, help devise studying plans, or respond to questions on his own time via email or text. If it wasn't for him, I definitely would not be as far along in my degree as I am now.
Great tutor! Made circuits (the most anti-intuitive topic ever) make sense.
Great tutor! Very patient. Comes prepared to every session and goes above and beyond to make sure all questions are answered correctly.
Kristen was nothing short of fantastic. She was very patient with me, and was able to catch even the smallest of my mistakes. She knew what the course work was trying to get me to do, and showed me how to do it properly without extraneous detail. She is also tremendously friendly, and just a great person in general.
Abbey is super easy to work with and extremely helpful! If it weren't for Abbey's help I wouldn't have done as well as I did in Spanish by the end of the semester. After spending a couple of weeks working with Abbey, I went up two letter grades in Spanish and she really takes the time to make sure you know the ins and outs. I would definitely recommend working with Abbey to anybody in need of some help!
Austin took a years worth of difficult to conceptualize Calc II and condensed it down into something that made sense-all in two hour long sessions! I was very pleased with his efficiency-- he did a great job of making sure I understand the work and was ready to keep moving forward before advancing to the next subject. He is supportive, patient, personable, and extremely knowledgeable on the subject: I would recommend him to anyone!
Chayenne has been a fantastic resource for my 9th grade daughter -- they started working together during the fourth quarter of 8th grade, and during that quarter, some summer support and her first semester of 9th grade, she has gained both confidence and a much better understanding of the subject material, and pulled a struggling high C or low B to an A in her advanced math classes. Chayenne is patient and encouraging and made challenging topics much more accessible for my daughter -- I recommend her highly!
Chayenne helped our daughter finish her last quarter of 9th grade math strong; she is kind and warm and my daughter likes working with her. She was able to assess where my daughter's skills were coming up short and focus on those to bring her grade up at the end of a tough quarter. I recommend her wholeheartedly.
Zachary is great at explaining difficult topics in a way that any one could understand. He also is able to relate chemistry concepts to everyday life in a meaningful way.
Paul is straight to the point with each problem & task, regardless of difficulty or your experience, he will make sure you get it. In the several decades worth of struggles i've had with math (i'm an older student), i've never had someone as helpful as him. He doesn't waste time with ambiguous analogies or force you to guess for 5-10 minutes at a time what is going on with misleading questions, he is very blunt and straight to the point with what each problem is "doing" in the real world or with physical analogies. This is the first person i've interacted with in my life who has adequately and unambiguously explained to me what algebra actually "does" beyond letters and numbers, as is unfortunately taken for granted by most college and high school instructors.
